Travel grants

IUGS offers three grants of 950 Euro each for students. An oral presentation is requested from the author in first position.

Students wishing to apply should e-mail (preferably as a pdf)
1) a covering letter
2) a short-CV (maximum one page)
3) their talk abstract

Applications should arrive to congress-ipc5-contact@mnhn.fr before March 15th.

 

The International Palaeontological Association proposes a 1100 Euro grant for a student from a Developing Nation. An oral presentation is requested from the author.

The International Research Group on Ostracoda, together with the Society of Friends of IRGO, is happy to support the participation of young researchers at the IPC5. Two travel awards of 1000 Euro each will be awarded to Master or Ph.D. students who will present their research (oral or poster) at the IPC 5. It is expected that Ostracoda will play a key role in their presentation. Contributions from all disciplines and geological times are welcome.

The Société Géologique de France (SGF) will provide up to three travel grants of 600 € for PhD students who plan to present a talk at IPC5 and are members of the SGF. Details about the application process will be provided on the SGF website: http://www.geosoc.fr

The Groupe Français d’Étude du Jurassique (GFEJ) and the Groupe Français du Crétacé  (GFC) will provide one grant covering the registration fees and a travel support of 150€ for a PhD student or a new doctor who plans to present a talk at IPC5 for the Session S28 : New trends in biostratigraphy.

The applicant has to be a member of the GFEJ and/or of the GFC.  Application deadline: January 26th.

The Association Paléontologique Française (APF) will provide up to three grants covering registration fees for PhD students who plan to present a talk at IPC5 and are members of APF.

    OVER

The International Federation of Palynological Societies (IFPS) intends to sponsor up to three students with a 500 € contribution towards the cost of attending the conference. Funding will be awarded to Master and Ph.D. students presenting palynological results at the IPC5 (oral or poster) and which are members of one of the IFPS affiliated societies.
